Assumption Kindergartners Read “The King of Kindergarten”
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School (ABVM) Kindergartners read “The King of Kindergarten” by Derrick Barnes and learned about characters, settings, and sharing your opinions! The King of Kindergarten picture book was illustrated by Vanessa Brantley-Newton and released in July 2019.
The King of Kindergarten is about a confident little boy who takes pride in his first day of kindergarten and about a mother who inspired him and gave him the titular nickname, King of Kindergarten.
