Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Brings Spirit to “The Best Small-Town Parade in America”

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School brought incredible spirit to the Sierra Madre 4th of July Parade! This hometown tradition – often hailed as “the best small-town parade in America” – has been uniting families and community groups since the mid‑1960s. Every July 4 at 10 a.m., the colorful procession travels down Sierra Madre Boulevard, featuring marching bands, vintage cars, kids on decorated bikes, civic groups, and a lively pre‑parade fun run. After the parade, festivities continue at Sierra Vista Park with free swimming, live music, games, and food booths – making it a full morning of patriotic joy and community pride. The school’s enthusiastic participation added vibrant energy to the celebration, and heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who joined in and helped make the day unforgettable!
