Aveson Charter School’s Garden Action Day

Many hands make lighter work! What a beautiful sight in the Aveson Charter School garden recently. Young and old working side-by-side … “rejuvenating our wonderful garden.” School gardens are a wonderful and exciting way to make almost any school curriculum come alive and show “real-life” meaning to students as they learn. A garden can provide an opportunity for students and the entire school community to participate in hands-on learning that teaches not only the intended subject but also responsibility, teamwork, and respect for nature, others, and themselves.
