Barnhart Fifth Graders Read “Small Spaces”

Barnhart Fifth graders read the novel, “Small Spaces”. As a culminating activity, they did an escape room that excluded problems about vocabulary, character traits, and plot points! Small spaces by the author Katherine Arden is about finding solace in books in the wake of a tragic loss. 11-year-old Ollie rescues a book from being destroyed and discovers within its pages the chilling story of a girl who made a fateful bargain with a sinister specter.
