Barnhart School Teachers: Building Relationships while Building Ladders

How do you pick apples that are way up high in an apple tree? You build a ladder! Kindergarteners enjoyed their first STEM design challenge today! Look at the amazing ladders they made!

Spending time teaching and playing with young children is especially good for their cognitive development. That’s because building and playing together builds one’s relationship and sends a simple but powerful message – the students are important to the teachers. This message is key to helping young children learn about who they are and where they fit in the world. It also gives the pupil confidence to keep exploring and learning about the world.
