Barnhart School’s “Responsive Classroom Philosophy”

At Barnhart School… “we believe in the Responsive Classroom philosophy.” A tradition at the beginning of the year is to have the students brainstorm, develop, and create their Hopes and Dreams. These goals are to made to help the students stay motivated for the year. To help write the goals, the fourth grade students used the SMART goal process to help establish a goal that is Specific, Manageable, Attainable, Relatable, and Time-bound. To make these goals colorful and bright, the class decorated Mickey Mouse heads. Way to go, fourth grade! Good Luck on accomplishing your Hopes and Dreams this year!
