Blair 6th Graders Visit the Marine Mammal Care Center in San Pedro

On Tuesday March 29th, Blair’s Ms. Najera’s 6th Grade SLA classes visited the Marine Mammal Care Center (MMCC) in San Pedro. They learned how sea lions and seals get rescued after they get sick, usually from eating trash and plastic objects that end up in the ocean.

Staff at the MMCC provide medical care and rehabilitation to these beautiful animals and release them to the ocean when they are healthy! After their visit, SLA students enjoyed lunch and relaxation time by the Korean Friendship Bell in Angel’s Gate Park.
