Bosco Tech Congratulates Luciano Kholos on Successful Boeing Internship
Bosco Tech congratulates senior Luciano Kholos (CSEE ’21) who just completed a Boeing internship. Throughout the summer, he and his intern cohort group focused on developing Java software to support automated system testing. This was a perfect fit for the honor student who just began his AP Computer Science A class, which uses Java as its base language.
“The practice I am getting through this internship has made me advance my skills in Java and has prepared me for the class,” said Luciano, who plans to major in Computer Science at the university level after he graduates next year.
The Tech Ambassador and Robotics software team leader thinks that the work experience was extremely beneficial. “Personally, I think that all juniors should consider applying for an internship,” he said. “They allow you to develop your professional appearance and to build relationships with other people who are in a career or field that you would be interested in going into.”
“Although the internship was not in-person, I had the ability to have video calls with Boeing employees that share the same passions/future career that I am looking for,” he said. “At first, I was pretty nervous talking to Boeing employees, but over time, I was able to get used to it and ask meaningful questions.”
When not working, Luciano’s summer days primarily consisted of conducting research on various colleges. His limited free time was spent playing online games with friends and going on short road trips to get out of the house.
