Capturing Pasadena: Westridge Students Bring Street Stories to Life

Humans of Pasadena! Westridge Upper School students in Art Teacher Shannon Keller’s Photo I & II classes recently put their camera skills (and confidence) to the test on the streets of Pasadena as they practiced street photography! Working either solo or in pairs, the students were tasked with going up to people on the street, asking for their consent to take a photo, and then snapping their photo while adjusting for elements including composition, lighting, and exposure and, as Ms. Keller says, making everything intentional. In the weeks after, the classes have been taking turns reviewing and critiquing each other’s work.
