Celebrating Creative Voices: Junior High Art Night at Sequoyah School

Sequoyah School’s K-8 Infinity Room was recently transformed into a vibrant gallery space for Junior High Art Night, showcasing the talents of 7th and 8th grade students in the Visual Arts program. The exhibit featured an impressive array of drawings, paintings, sculptures, and photography. Many students explored the concept of pastiche by reinterpreting the styles of influential artists through cultural, social, political, or environmental lenses. Each young artist presented their work and shared insights into their creative process with attending guests, offering a deeper look into their inspirations and artistic choices. It was a remarkable evening that highlighted not only artistic skill but also thoughtful expression and personal vision –  a true celebration of student creativity.
