Celebrating Read Across America Week at Norma Coombs Elementary

As part of Read Across America Week, kindergarten students at Norma Coombs Elementary School enjoyed a special visit from board member Jennifer Hall Lee (District 2, Pasadena), who stopped by to read with the class and share in the joy of storytelling. Her visit brought smiles and excitement to the young learners, highlighting the importance of reading and community engagement in education. Moments like these help inspire a lifelong love of books while strengthening connections between local leaders and students. The kindergarten class listened attentively and eagerly participated as the story came to life. Events like this continue to make Read Across America Week a meaningful celebration of literacy and imagination in schools across the country.
