Clairbourn School’s Kindergarten Class Complete Cross-Curricular Service Learning Project

Clairbourn School’s kindergarten classes completed a cross-curricular service learning project to help the Los Angeles Beekeepers Association. This unique project not only taught the students how to care for our environment, but also challenged their math, science, and art skills! From creating posters and collection boxes and learning about the importance of bees, to collecting and counting plastic bottles, our Cougars did a great job involving the whole community. They were most excited to observe the beehive and see the smoker. They even got to see the queen laying her eggs! Next time when you see a kindergartener, ask them what a beehive smells like!
