Congratulations to Southwestern Academy’s Class of 2019!

For 95 years and counting, the non-profit, International/Domestic, boarding and day institution of Southwestern Academy has prepared students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and self-motivated leaders who will positively impact the global community. On June 6th at 12pm, Southwestern honored the academic and personal achievements that the graduating senior class has made throughout the school year in classes and on the campuses.

The commencement ceremonies that took place on both of Southwestern’s campuses in San Marino, California and Rimrock, Arizona, honored 38 proud students receiving their high school diplomas. All graduates will advance to the college or university of their choice with the majority attending either a UC or private four-year institution.

The event also included the 8th grade promotion to recognize the up and coming high school students; the Baccalaureate services, in which the students involved read their philosophies and poetry, and perform music; awards for individual accomplishments in particular subject areas; a buffet luncheon, and of course, the old-fashioned grad hat toss.
