Creative Engineering in Action: First Graders Build Bunny Burrows at Clairbourn School

First graders at Clairbourn School took on an exciting engineering challenge, designing bunny burrows to stay safe, dry, and cozy during the spring rain. Working in teams, they brainstormed, built, and tested their designs using a variety of materials, even engineering working doors with spin hinges. The project resulted in one-of-a-kind bunny homes that showcased creativity and a classroom full of proud young engineers. Through this hands-on activity, students also strengthened their problem-solving and collaboration skills while applying real-world design thinking.
