Creativity Unleashed: Inside Pasadena High School’s Visual Arts Academy

On any given Friday, stepping into PHS’ Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) classroom is like entering a vibrant world of boundless creativity and expression. The room hums with energy as students dive into a variety of projects—some carefully crafting intricate sketches, others immersed in digital design work or bringing vibrant paintings to life. Art supplies are scattered across tables, paintbrushes dipped in bold colors, and computers flashing with the latest design software. The walls, work tables, and even the floor are covered with student artwork, each piece a unique display of talent and individuality. Instructors move through the space, offering insightful guidance, sparking ideas, and encouraging students to explore the depths of their creative potential. These photos are just a glimpse of the remarkable innovation and artistry that fills this space.

Pasadena High School is located at 2925 E. Sierra Madre Blvd.

The Visual Arts and Design Academy (VADA) in Creative Arts Media and Design (CAMAD) at Pasadena High School is a studio arts focused program within PUSD. Students explore traditional and digital media cross curricular integrated projects and daily studio practice.
