Invite your daughter to discover her gifts and talents at Mayfield Senior School. This fall, Mayfield was excited to open our doors to new faces and spaces throughout campus. The freshmen class includes 78 young women from 33 different schools who will join the 300-strong student body. Mayfield students will continue the traditions of excellence in academics, arts, athletics, and service. As an all-girls Catholic school in the Holy Child tradition, students are committed to living out the school’s motto, Actions Not Words, through vibrant campus ministry and Christian service programs.

Mayfield Senior School has been a member of the Pasadena community for more than 80 years. The school was founded in 1931 and offers engaging college-prep academics, including 21 AP and honors courses, eight Conservatory of the Arts programs, 21 competitive teams in 13 sports and a community service program. Mayfield is dedicated to educating the “whole child” through balanced, integrated education. Mayfield prides itself in diversity, with 50% of our students coming from ethnically diverse families. Financial aid and scholarships are available.

The beginning of the school year marked the completion of a major campus building project. Work has been completed on a 12,000 square-foot expansion into the south wing of Strub Hall, the main classroom building. This expansion features six new, state-of-the-art classrooms with interactive technology systems, a new 5,000 square-foot Library and Technology Center, and integrates the entire campus with wireless internet access. Five new faculty members joined the staff, including a PhD recipient in the Science department, a new Campus Minister and two Music Conservatory instructors.

Visit our campus and see for yourself the excellent education Mayfield has to offer. Meet current students, teachers and parents during our Open House on Sunday, December 2 from 12-4 p.m. Families will be led on tours which will give you the opportunity to personally acquaint yourself with Mayfield’s programs, facilities, faculty and administrators. A program presented by the Head of School, Rita McBride, will introduce you to the educational philosophy of the Holy Child schools as well as showcase the Conservatory for the Arts. All are welcome! There is no need for pre-registration. Come discover our faculty, visit with student leaders and see our athletes and artists in action!
