Eliot Arts Magnet and McKinley Elementary Students Complete Western Justice Center Peer Mediation Training

Students from Eliot Arts Magnet and McKinley Elementary School participated in a two-day Peer Mediation Training hosted by the Western Justice Center. The training equipped students with practical skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving to help them support their peers in resolving conflicts peacefully.

Through interactive activities, role-playing, and guided discussions, students learned how to listen actively, identify underlying issues, and guide their classmates toward fair and respectful resolutions. By the end of the program, participants expressed greater confidence in their ability to promote understanding and harmony within their school communities.

This collaborative training reflects both schools’ commitment to fostering leadership, emotional intelligence, and a positive school climate grounded in respect and collaboration.

Eliot Arts Magnet campus was damaged by the Eaton Fire. Our school community is co-located at McKinley School at 325 S. Oak Knoll St., Pasadena, CA 91101 or visit https://eliot.pusd.us/.”
