Empowering the Next Generation: Ramona Convent Students Explore STEAM Careers

Students from Ramona Convent Secondary School recently attended a dynamic conference designed to connect young women, ages 14–19, with professionals across the fields of technology, engineering, science, media, arts, and design. The event provided valuable insight into the diverse career pathways shaping today’s world.

Throughout the day, the students engaged in STEAM-focused workshops, leadership sessions, and mentorship opportunities, gaining practical exposure to the education and skills required to pursue these industries. They also had the opportunity to meet and learn from inspiring community leaders, including Dr. Ciriaco “Cid” Pinedo, President and CEO of Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF), and Adele Andrade Stadler, Vice Mayor of Alhambra.

Experiences like this play a vital role in helping students broaden their perspectives, build confidence, and establish meaningful connections with mentors and professionals. The next generation of innovators and leaders is already stepping forward.
