Exploring Armenian Diasporic History: St. Gregory Students Engage with Author Nancy Kricorian

Baron Shahe’s 8th-grade class at St. Gregory A. & M. Hovsepian School (Pasadena, CA) is currently engaged in The Burning Heart of the World, Nancy Kricorian’s compelling new novel that explores the experiences of Armenians in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War. To deepen their understanding, the class had the privilege of welcoming Mrs. Kricorian for a visit, during which students posed insightful questions, demonstrating their strong literary appreciation.

The novel highlights a lesser-known chapter of Armenian diasporic history, making it especially significant for the students.

Those available this evening are invited to a special author event with Nancy Kricorian at Glendale Library, Arts & Culture on Wednesday, April 2, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Central Library’s auditorium.

“We hope to see you there!”
