Farewell, Summer Scholars: Southwestern Academy Celebrates a Successful End to Summer School

It feels like just yesterday that the Southwestern Academy community was waving goodbye to this year’s dedicated group of summer school students—and already, they are dearly missed. Over the course of six enriching weeks, these determined learners committed themselves to completing courses for academic credit, balancing rigorous study with moments of fun and connection.

The summer session was filled with memorable experiences, from hands-on classroom activities and lively field trips to spontaneous laughter and meaningful friendships. Despite the academic challenges, students pushed through with resilience and determination, finishing the program with a sense of pride—and smiles all around.

To mark the end of the session, Ms. Jarchow hosted a joyful banana split social hour, where students and staff gathered to celebrate their hard work, reflect on the summer’s journey, and enjoy one last sweet memory together.

Congratulations to all the students who took on the challenge and made the most of their summer at Southwestern Academy. Your hard work, courage, and positive spirit have left a lasting impression!
