Flintridge Prep Dancers Bring Anatomy to Life in Stunning Winter Concert

Earlier this month, Flintridge Preparatory School dance students brought the study of the human body to life with unparalleled energy and creativity during this year’s winter dance concert, “Anatomy in Motion.” The performance offered audiences an unforgettable exploration of kinetic physiology, seamlessly blending science and art.

Under the expert guidance of performing arts faculty members Alisha Mullally and department chair Molly Mattei, both group and solo performers mesmerized with intricately choreographed original pieces. Each performance delved into themes inspired by the human body, from the mechanics of lungs and the structure of hair to the complexities of the brain, adrenaline, mood swings, anxiety, grief, and the sensory experience. The result was a dynamic celebration of movement and emotion, where every piece told a story tied to the physical and emotional essence of humanity.

Congratulations to the talented dancers, choreographers, and creative team for delivering a stunning and thought-provoking show that left audiences in awe! (Photos by Ben Gibbs)
