Flintridge Prep’s Speech & Debate Team Qualifies for 2021 National Speech & Debate Tournament and California State Championship

Guess who’s going to Nationals and State? That’s right, members of Flintridge Preparatory School’s Speech and Debate team qualified for the 2021 National Speech and Debate Tournament and the California State Championships, as well as the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions for debate and speech.

After the Prep team placed first overall in the debate and congress division during the qualifying tournament, 20 students will head to the National tournament, held virtually in June. In their qualifying tournaments for State, the team won first place in their division the first weekend and placed second on weekend two. State qualifiers will be competing online at the California State Championship from April 19-25.
