Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Celebrates the Spirit of Las Posadas on the Hill

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) recently embraced the spirit of tradition, faith, and community by hosting its first-ever Las Posadas celebration on the Hill, honoring the cherished custom that marks the journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter in Bethlehem before the birth of Jesus. Rooted in the meaning of “Las Posadas,” which translates to “the inns” or “the shelters,” the event served as a heartfelt reminder to open hearts and doors to love, hope, and togetherness. The evening featured a moving reenactment of the journey, accompanied by traditional songs, joyful dancing, candle lighting, and a vibrant Night Market filled with food, fun, and fellowship. Brought to life through the collaborative efforts of the school’s Affinity Groups and the broader FSHA community, the celebration created a warm and meaningful space that reflected the richness of tradition and the joy of shared experience.

“Que nunca falte la fe, la unión, y el calor de nuestras tradiciones. ¡Felices Posadas!”
