Junior High Summer Programs

Coding

Empower your daughter with the fundamentals of computer programming! This hands-on, interactive camp introduces junior high students to coding through engaging projects, games, and teamwork. Using Java, students will develop coding structures while creating visually dynamic and interactive displays.

Arts

FSHA’s Summer Arts Camp, part of our Center for Sustainability and Justice, immerses rising 6th–8th grade girls in the visual and performing arts. Through a variety of VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) workshops, students will explore creativity, build confidence, and experience the vibrant arts community at FSHA.

Science Week

This STEM-focused camp, part of FSHA’s Center for Sustainability and Justice, is designed for rising middle school girls. In 2025, our theme is birds, continuing our trilogy of arthropods, plants, and birds. Campers will engage in hands-on scientific exploration, group problem-solving, and exciting discoveries in the natural world.

Engineering & Design Week

Also part of their STEM offerings, this camp introduces middle school girls to engineering, 3D printing, laser cutting, and computer science. In 2025, students willexplore the science of birds, blending technology, engineering, and design in an engaging, collaborative environment.

Speech & Debate

Boost confidence, develop leadership, and sharpen public speaking skills at FSHA’s Speech & Debate Camp! Open to rising middle school girls, this program helps students research and articulate persuasive arguments, practice improvisation, and engage in team-based problem-solving. Skills learned in this camp extend across academic subjects, leadership opportunities, and real-world communication.

Spanish

This one-week Spanish Camp is open to rising middle-school students ready to dive into a fun and exciting language adventure! As part of FSHA’s Center for Sustainability and Justice, this camp helps students discover the joy of connecting with others through language and cultural knowledge. Whether your daughter is new to Spanish or has some experience, this camp will help enhance her confidence. FSHA believes that learning a new language opens doors to understanding and participating in both our local and global communities.

Sports & Arts Camps

Sports Camps (Ages 6–12)

Led by expert coaches, FSHA’s Sports Camps provide young athletes with the opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, and practice teamwork. With a 10:1 student-to-coach ratio, campers receive individualized attention in a supportive environment. No prior experience needed—just a passion for learning and playing! Lunch included.

Dance Camp (Grades 1–8)

Move, create, and shine! FSHA’s Dance Camp welcomes dancers of all levels to explore Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, and Musical Theater. In a fun and supportive setting, students will develop technique, learn choreography, and gain confidence in their performance abilities. No experience is necessary.
