Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy’s Speech and Debate Team Participates in SCDL State’s Qualifying Tournament



Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy is proud of its students who competed in the most recent speech events at Southern California Debate League (SCDL) – the league’s state qualifying tournament this weekend! In Impromptu Speaking, against 53 competitors from 15 schools, Victoria Hernandez and Abigail Toth were semi-finalists, Catherine Bauer took third place, Bella Rucker won first place league champion, and the team won the first place Sweepstakes Award in their division!

Catherine and Bella will compete at the State Championship Tournament in Union City in April.

Catherine and Samantha Godinez were recognized for their dedication to Speech and Debate and were given four-year medals.
