Flintridge Sacred Heart Celebrates Debate Team’s Win



This time it was Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) debaters who celebrated at the end of their latest League Tournament last Monday, January 27.

Two of FSHA’s teams were finalists in the largest debate category of competition, Public Forum Debate, which had 43 teams from 13 different schools including La Salle and Flintridge Prep.

Flintridge Sacred Heart congratulates the teams of Victoria Hernandez ’21/Lily Jiang ’21 who placed 5th and Meg Kalaw ’20 /Jocelle Lauron ’20 who placed 7th (pictured).

Novice team, Ava Zhang ’23/Isabelle Zirn ’23 and the varsity team of Emily Yuan ’20/Leni Dai ’20 had records of 3 wins-1 loss. We are so proud of the work these teams put in.

The topic of debate was: Resolved: The United States should end its economic sanctions against Venezuela.
