Frostig School Students Build Real-World Skills Through Summer Lemonade Stand

Summer learning is in full swing at Frostig School, where students in the school’s Hands on Crafts and Forgotten Skills class recently put on a lemonade stand for the community. Facilitated by Mr. Alex and Ms. Joy, the students conceptualized the entire project—from painting the signs and hand-making the lemonade to discussing how much to charge per glass versus the cost of supplies in order to make a profit. Their next discussion will focus on how to spend their earnings, giving students another opportunity to apply the practical skills they’ve learned through the project. “Way to go, Falcons!”
