Frostig’s Training Session with Barb Langeloh, Educational Therapist

Last Friday, Frostig School hosted a training session from Barb Langeloh, Educational Therapist, during its teacher/staff professional learning day. She provided teachers with historical background on dyslexia, impacts of recent legislation and an immersive training where they were able to experience first hand through six dyslexia simulations.

At the end of the session, staff and teachers were able to reflect and share how their experience of the day will inform their future practices with diverse learners. The training helped to culminate October which is Dyslexia Awareness Month, “a time to promote awareness and understanding of dyslexia”.
