Future Leaders Take the Stage at Ramona Convent’s Emerging Leaders Seminar

Ramona Convent Secondary School recently held its annual Emerging Leaders Seminar. Ms. Val Green, Dean of Student Life, and 8 current student council leaders, hosted 20 seventh and eighth-grade students from 11 different elementary schools. During the seminar, these young leaders worked to identify leadership qualities and styles and worked in teams on creative Engineering projects. Ramona’s student leaders introduced the concept of social justice and what it means to the Sisters of the Holy Names and the Ramona community. We discussed the need for service, and Ramona leaders described their service opportunities. As a culminating project, emerging leaders were tasked with creating a project that would serve a marginalized group in their communities. Overall the Emerging Leaders Seminar was a huge success. We look forward to seeing how these young students will change the world!
