Grandparents Day at Ramona Convent Secondary School

The Ramona community welcomed a fantastic group of grandparents on campus for an annual holiday celebration. Guests were treated to performances from the Ramona handbell ensemble and choirs as well as an exciting dance team presentation. Grandparents were then escorted to the festively decorated Holy Family Room for lunch with their granddaughters.

Celine Vazquez ‘20 shared a few words with the group about the appreciation she has for her grandmother and asked students “to celebrate the people in our lives that are vital to the people we have become: grandparents. Grandparents make us the authentic, genuine, people we are. Grandparents are support systems, best friends, and of course, amazing huggers.” All in attendance had a great time and rain certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits or enjoyment.

Ramona is a welcoming Catholic college-prep high school for girls in grades 9-12. Ramona graduates face the future with an extraordinary education, a global vision fueled by Catholic values, an independent spirit, confident leadership skills, the support of their Ramona sisters, and the strength of a legacy of more than 130 years of excellence.
