Holy Family School Celebrates Mary’s Day Crowning
Mary’s Day Crowning 2021 (Created with @Magisto) from HFS – School Videos on Vimeo.
More and more traditions return slowly and safely. On Friday, April 30th – in 80°+ heat no less – the 3rd grade represented HFS and a modified version of our annual tradition of a Mary’s Day Crowning returned.
Mary has been given the title of Queen of Heaven and Earth, and for that reason Holy Family School (HFS) honor her with a crowning when the spring flowers have come into full bloom, displaying the beauty of nature .. God’s earthly kingdom.
So with flowers from all grade (collected earlier in the day), individual flowers from 3rd graders, a floral crown and lei we came together to crown our statues of Mary.
HFS thanks everyone who assisted in this tradition, Mrs. Arnold, Mrs. Gorocica, Fr. Denis, the HF Video team, Mr. Reed and most especially the 3rd graders and their families. Special thanks extended to HFS Student Council representatives from 7th and 8th grade: Dane, Chloe, Caleb and Silas.
