Immaculate Heart High School & Middle School – Delphic League Champions

Immaculate Heart Middle School’s Basketball and Soccer Teams both ended amazing seasons by winning in league finals and clinching championship titles.

For the first time in the school’s history, the IHMS Basketball Team placed first in the Delphic League after beating Heritage Christian in the finals. Brian Smith guided the team to victory and a 9-1-0 record in his first year as team coach. Captained by Caroline Williams and Allie and Danielle Lachman, the team roster featured Alejandra Casillas, Victoria Barry, Skyln Jara, Laurie Jones, Alice Lee, Siena Michaelis, Kerrigan Riley, Winslow Smith, Kimberlin Wagner, Anne Wagner, and Stephanie Yoon.

The IHMS Soccer Team had an undefeated season (10-0-1) and won the Delphic League title for the first time since 2013. In the final game, the team faced St. Mel, the defending champion team, but IH won in regular time with a 1-0 score.

“This year’s team is very special and connects with each other on and off the field,” said Coach Meghan Addis. “We have great leadership from our 8th graders, and our team unity and heart really paid off in the end.”

This year’s team included captains Candace Malloy, Quinn Lanza and Sophia Martin, with team members Maya Jones, Fiona O’Malley, Ella Jordon, Violet Hill, Eliana Avalos, Maggie Gold, Alex Torres, Ryan Younger, Sydney Colbert, Sophia Shapourian, Emma Russell, Chloe Pithie, Gianna Jordon, Avery Fincher, and Mabel Green.
