International School of Los Angeles / Lycée International Pasadena (Preschool-5th)

During one of the last recesses before #summer break, International School of Los Angeles / Lycée International Pasadena campus…Kindergarten students enjoyed a great drawing session. The vibrant colors and fun shapes they chose for their art were inspired by the eye-catching 2020-21 yearbook cover (pictured above).

Serving 145 students from preschool through the fifth grade, the Pasadena Campus is conveniently located in the heart of Pasadena, across from Pasadena City College. Exuding old-world charm with its intimate size and beautiful landscaping, the campus consists of a two-story building with 11 classrooms (5 downstairs and 6 upstairs), a dual language library, a computer lab used for student research and didactic exercises, and dedicated outside dining and play areas.

Each classroom is outfitted with an interactive whiteboard and projector, and each member of its teaching team skillfully integrates technology (including student iPad usage) in daily learning to maximize student participation and critical thinking. A separate multipurpose room serves as a versatile venue for music classes, indoor extra-curricular activities and special meetings, while an auditorium invites larger group activities, such as student performances, workshops, etc.

Canopied lunch areas shelter students at snack and lunch times, and students enjoy the daily use of the basketball court and playgrounds whose specially designed play structures invite physical exercise, fun and social interaction in a safe setting for even the youngest students.

The International School of Los Angeles / Lycée International Pasadena Campus is proud of the tight-knit community we enjoy and do our utmost to serve parents and students alike, with extended daycare services available, a formal study hall program to help students complete their homework and obtain extra help, and an engaging after-school enrichment program designed to broaden student experience. Our campus’ annual 3-day Joshua Tree camping trip for families with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade remains a special highlight of our educational offering and a unique bonding and community-building experience for all.
