International Women’s Day at Ramona

In honor of International Women’s Day, Paulina Sanchez ’18 and Sofia Cerros ’18 organized a small march in solidarity with women around the world. Paulina kicked it off with inspiring words about empowering women and staying united. Sofia followed with a heartwarming poem about the beauty that comes from within. Students, faculty, and staff then proceeded to march the perimeter of the campus proudly displaying signs and loudly chanting while several of them spread awareness through social media on Facebook Live, Instagram Live, and Snapchat. Globally and Nationally, women’s groups wore red today as did the Ramona community.

Ramona is a welcoming Catholic college-prep high school for girls in grades 9-12. Ramona graduates face the future with an extraordinary education, a global vision fueled by Catholic values, an independent spirit, confident leadership skills, the support of their Ramona sisters, and the strength of a legacy of more than 125 years of excellence. http://www.ramonaconvent.org/
