It Was Mardi Gras Time at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School

The Sixth Grade class hosted Assumption’s annual Mardi Gras Drive-Thru celebration on Tuesday, February 16th.

Mardi Gras is an annual tradition celebrated around the world that culminates the day before Ash Wednesday. Students of ABVM look forward to this yearly tradition, which usually involves a parade with bead-throwing, carnival games, and delicious food.

This year’s festivities looked a little different – families drove through the campus parking lot decorated in green, purple, and yellow streamers, and were handed a pre-packed bag of goodies. Then students partook in a quick photo op, all while fun music created a celebratory atmosphere. It was truly a successful and festive event!

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School is located at 2660 E. Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena. For further information please call (626) 793-2089 or visit https://school.abvmpasadena.org/.
