John Muir High High School celebrated Engineering Week recently! One of the highlights of Engineering Week at John Muir HS is its Career Exploration Showcase. Several hundred Engineering and Environmental Science Academy (EESA) students are able to speak to over a dozen local businesses and organizations about the wide range of career opportunities available for students with Engineering and STEM degrees. Businesses who participated include: JPL, Northrop Grumman, Pankow Builders, Parsons, TetraTech, and the US Forest Service. Career orientation events are extremely helpful to Muir’s EESA students in expanding their horizons of professional opportunities and inspiring them in their pursuit of science and engineering careers.
