John Muir High School Celebrates the Class of 2020



Join John Muir High School in celebrating the Class of 2020 virtually! Paying homage to the hard work, achievements and spirit of Mustangs Class of 2020 on Sunday, June 26, amidst the global pandemic. The event started with the presentation of colors, followed by John Muir Principal Dr. Lawton Gray’s introduction of the Senior Class President Ms. Karen Mayorga-Morales who then lead the Pledge of Allegiance, then by Saudia Usher, ASB President & Salutatorian of John Muir High School. A Salutatory address by Vanessa Sanchez, came in next and Vice Mayor Tyron Hampton offered an inspirational message uplifting the spirits of the new graduates. Then the Class of 2020 sang the graduation song, “It’s Been a Long Day”. The song was followed by the Valedictory address of Haley Cogshell, 2020 Valedictorian of John Muir High School, then was capped by Dr. Lawton Gray’s commencement address. Dr. Brian McDonald, PUSD Superintendent also delivered his congratulatory speech with Patrick Cahalan, PUSD Board of Education President. The program was concluded with the presentation of each graduate of the Class of 2020.
