John Muir Instrumental Music Shines at Pasadena’s Black History Festival

John Muir High School’s Instrumental Music program proudly participated in Pasadena’s Black History Festival at Jackie Robinson Park, bringing energy and spirit to this meaningful community event. Their performance was a highlight of the celebration, showcasing the school’s musical talent and deep connection to Pasadena’s rich cultural history. The festival is part of Pasadena’s annual Black History Parade & Festival, one of the longest-running Black history celebrations in Southern California. First held in 1982, the parade and festival honor the achievements, heritage, and contributions of Black Americans, with performances, food, art, and community engagement.
