On Saturday, November 12, the Muir varsity water polo team won their neutral non-conference game against Hemet (CA) by a score of 17-16. “And they did it!” In over 15 years there hasn’t been a varsity level boys water polo team, and never in John Muir High School’s water polo legacy did a team ever make it to a CIF final until now. The team didn’t just make it here, they WON IT! This team had its challenges, but kept their eyes on the prize the whole time. JMHS Varsity Water Polo Team had tremendous support, first and foremost from the athletes and their families and communities, but also from the Muir Family. JMHS coaches, alumni, students, and staff are THE BEST! John Muir High School thank you for cheering the team on every step of the way and for helping them elevate water polo in the community.
