Learning Measurements with Aveson 2nd Graders

Mr. David’s 2nd graders built their own centimeter rulers and meter tapes, then had fun deciding what would be the better tool to measure different items and measured them! Students learn what a length is by comparing it with other lengths and they develop the concept and associated language together. As students compare
quantities directly, and order them, they learn to identify each attribute and to see how they differ.
