Providing A Meaningful Educational Experience For Your Child To Reach Their Full Potential

Since our founding as an independent school in 1959, Barnhart offers our students balanced academic excellence within a welcoming and diverse community. We recognize our children all have unique gifts and talents, and we create an environment in which they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our exceptional academic program ensures our children learn in a respectful and caring atmosphere and develop into the difference-makers our world desperately needs. We believe the character of our students and who they are is critical to the journey to becoming successful adults, and we're honored and proud to partner with our families along the way.

Our programs are designed to foster a love of learning and prepare our students to succeed in the classroom and in the real world. At Barnhart, your child will experience the benefit of small class sizes and hands-on learning experiences in our 15-to-1 student-teacher ratio. This allows our teachers and specialists to develop and foster meaningful student/teacher relationships.

Barnhart guides and assists our students in developing integrity, intelligence, curiosity, and compassion. Our commitment is to shape them into lifelong learners making a positive difference in our world.

Barnhart Hosts 2024 Odyssey of the Mind Regionals!

Odyssey of the Mind has been a driving force in education for the past 40 years. It has always emphasized creativity, science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math, long before they were recognized as disciplines. It all started in the 1970s with founder Dr. Sam's innovative industrial design classes at Rowan University. He believed that learning should be fun, students should incorporate their interests, there are always new uses for old items, and the way you ask a question is everything.

Celebrating Black History Month

We had the pleasure of hosting our keynote speaker, Nikkolas Smith, this morning. Nikkolas is a popular children's book author, Hollywood film illustrator, and a self-proclaimed "artivist." He shared his journey as an artist, his creative process for digital artwork, and the importance of Artivism. Our students were inspired by his talk and learned how art can have positively impact the world.
