Maranatha High School Hosts Annual Dads’ Dinner

Maranatha High School recently held their 3rd Annual Dads’ Dinner where they welcomed over 100 current, incoming, and alumni dads on campus.

Dads enjoyed a complimentary tri-tip dinner prepared by Maranatha’s own faculty members Ed Newkirk and Pat Mesisca ’92. Scott Chamberlain, a Maranatha dad who serves as the Associate Pastor of Strategic Development at Montrose Church and the Executive Director of their non-profit, Because You Matter, spoke at the event.

Mr. Chamberlain has worked to address homelessness throughout his life, most notably by starting Central City Community Church of the Nazarene on Skid Row in Los Angeles. He shared his thoughts on fatherhood and faith. At the end of the evening, dads stayed to fellowship and get to know one another better.
