This isn’t Marian’s first time being recognized by the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. She was also recognized last year, earning an Honorable Mention for her work on “Dreamy, Creamy Coffee.” Maranatha’s Visual Arts Department faculty member Diane Barnhart commented, “Marian is an excellent art student – very creative and skilled. She is currently completing her second AP portfolio (she received a 5 last year) and will be starting Azusa Pacific University (APU) in the fall to study art.”
