Marshall Fundamental Academy of Creative Industries (ACI) Reflection by 9th Grade Student: Alique Tufenkjian

Marshall Fundamental Secondary School’s Academy for Creative Industries (ACI) hosted its “ACI Career Day” in October. The ACI Career Day’s purpose was to provide students with exposure to professionals in the creative arts industries and the opportunity to earn work-based learning hours. Students acquired firsthand knowledge how professional artists use the creative process in their respective fields. They learned the importance of respecting and starting from the bottom, having determination, and using collaboration as a key skill. ACI is part of Pasadena Unified School District’s College and Career Pathway Program and prepares students for various pathways to college and careers. The Marshall Fundamental Academy of Creative Industries enrolls nearly 200 students grades 9th – 12th.
