Masks 101 by Chandler Science Teacher Stephanie Ho

Check out Chandler School’s new COVID-19 educational video for students. Today’s video is all about masks – how to wear them properly, why it’s important, and the science behind it! With community transmission occurring in the state, the California State government strongly recommends you take extra precautions to protect others. Wear a mask: if it is hard to maintain 6 feet of physical distance from others; when in high-risk indoor areas such as public transport, supermarkets, shops, places of worship and entertainment venues; when caring for or serving vulnerable people; if working in a cafe, restaurant, bars, club or other high-risk indoor areas. So wearing a mask is now required statewide. California Health strongly recommends people wear a mask when unable to physically distance, particularly in indoor settings, to keep everyone safe.
