Meet Bosco Tech’s Robotics Team
Check out the exciting world of competitive robotics by clicking on the above image! The video was created by Noah Pinales (MAT ’23), coder for Bosco Tech’s robotics team and gives a pictorial history of Techmen Robotics from 2015 through the present.
The team’s purpose is to have fun while designing, building and programming a competitive robot to be used in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Members will learn how to apply real-world math and science concepts, document the engineering process, develop problem-solving, organizational and team-building skills, and compete and cooperate in alliances at tournaments. Students from all technologies are encouraged to participate to learn all aspects of robotics, from using Solidworks as a design tool to fabricating the final machine.
Bosco Tech’s Robotics Team is grateful for the following companies for their sponsorship of the team:
Mr. Luis Garza (DE ‘94), Department Chair of Integrated Design, Engineering and Art (IDEA) and co-moderator of the robotics team tells the Robotics Team members, “It’s been an amazing journey and a pleasure to watch our young men improve year after year. The grit, work ethic and determination that they bring to the team is amazing. Br. Tom Mass and I are looking forward to the new season.”
