Pasadena Waldorf School: 8th Grade Studies of Human Anatomy
In the 8th Grade studies of human anatomy, the first object of exploration of the skeletal system is the skull. Pasadena Waldorf Students discovered the threefold nature of the skull (cranium, facial bones, and jaw) and found that the form and function of these bones is reflected in every region of the skeleton. The above illustrations are a few student sketches of the human skull inspired by those made by Leonardo da Vinci’s studies in the late 1400s.
