Pasadena Waldorf’s Eighth Graders’ Trek to Joshua Tree

Two years ago, Pasadena Waldorf’s Mrs. Kirigin’s then 6th grade class was set to journey to the Joshua Tree desert for a special class trip. Fast forward two years and the class, now mighty 8th graders, was finally able to make the trek to the desert for a trip filled with bouldering, camping, bonding, a nature tour, campfires, star gazing, and an immersive Soundbath at the Integration Circle.

Joshua Tree National Park is an American national park in southeastern California, east of San Bernardino and Los Angeles and north Palm Springs. It is named after the Joshua trees (Yucca brevifolia) native to the Mojave Desert. Originally declared a national monument in 1936, Joshua Tree was redesignated as a national park in 1994 when the U.S. Congress passed the California Desert Protection Act.[Wikipedia]
