Science/STEM: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes to the way we live. We have learned new ways of doing things to make us safer. This summer, students will put their creativity to work designing things to help enrich our lives, make us safer, and to help us work more efficiently.
The Arts: Artistic Self-expression is our way of showcasing what we think and how we feel. Students create artistic works using a variety of mediums such as oil pastels, acrylic paints, recycled materials, etc. They also learn to express themselves through written and spoken word and performing arts.
Health and Fitness: Time for students to get out and get moving with fun, collaborative, social-distanced games and activities! Students will engage in a variety of activities that encourage friendly competition and rigorous exercise while maintaining safety.
Social-Emotional Learning: It’s great to finally be back together again! Now it’s time for students to reconnect and get reacquainted by rebuilding their social and communication skills with peers. Activities promote important skills such as team building. active listening, communication, conflict resolution, valuing self and others, and fostering compassion and empathy.
