PEF: Rise Up Performed by Pasadena High School’s Advanced Dance Class

Rise Up performed by PHS Advanced Dance from Pasadena Educational Foundation on Vimeo.

Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) commissioned this dance performance in honor of educator, writer, publisher, and former PUSD Board of Education member Dr. Elizabeth Pomeroy. The dance was performed in Pasadena City Hall on May 16, 2023 as part of PEF’s “Celebrating Our Schools Inspire 2023” event honoring Dr. Pomeroy as the Exemplary Service Award recipient for 2023. Rise Up is choreographed by Hillary Temple and features 11 Pasadena High School’s Advanced Class Dancers. “It is a story of how we help one another as humans through the good and bad times”. Rise Up is a labor of love and was choreographed to represent the beauty in people believing in one another when we cannot always believe in ourselves. Enjoy!
